Eleven seafloor magnetotelluric soundings on the continental shelf and slope south of the lower Eyre Peninsula, South Australia, recorded in 1998 by SWAGGIE, the Southern Waters of Australia Geoelectric and Geomagnetic Induction Experiment, a joint project of Flinders University, the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, the Australian Geological Survey Organisation and the Australian National University.
About this survey
Eleven seafloor magnetotelluric soundings on the continental shelf and slope south of the lower Eyre Peninsula, South Australia, recorded in 1998 by SWAGGIE, the Southern Waters of Australia Geoelectric and Geomagnetic Induction Experiment, a joint project of Flinders University, the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, the Australian Geological Survey Organisation and the Australian National University. Instruments were laid on three lines: an inner shelf line in 95 to 100 m of water, an outer shelf line above the Duntroon Basin in 117 to 131 m, and a line down the continental slope from 512 to 3,050 m. The targets were the offshore extension of the Eyre Peninsula conductivity anomaly, its depth and width, and the structure of the margin. Each station carries an impedance tensor and a vertical magnetic field transfer function at eighteen periods from 80 to 27,307 seconds, each with variances. Released open file by the Geological Survey of South Australia through SARIG. Read README.md before use.
