About this survey

Fifty one broadband magnetotelluric soundings on three parallel north-west to south-east profiles at Plumridge Lakes, Western Australia, recorded by Moombarriga Geoscience for Ponton Minerals from 9 to 21 September 2016 over an isolated magnetic anomaly. Each profile is 4.0 km long with 17 sites 232 to 266 m apart, and the profiles are about 400 m apart. Each site recorded two electric and three magnetic channels overnight, about 14 hours, on Phoenix MTU-5A receivers; the time series were processed with Phoenix SSMT2000, most against a remote reference, and edited in MT-Editor. Every station carries impedance and tipper from 0.0031 s; 41 stop at 91 s and 10 reach 2941 s. Sensors were set to magnetic north and nothing is rotated. The contractor's report, daily report and 2D and 3D models are in the custodian's release. No static shift is applied.
