About this survey

A broadband magnetotelluric survey was conducted across the Newer Volcanic Province of southeast Australia in August 2019, spanning South Australia and Victoria, to investigate crustal and upper-lithospheric electrical conductivity structure in three dimensions. The survey occupied 54 unique station locations on a regular grid at approximately 25 km spacing, positioned to densify the regional coverage of the AusLAMP program and earlier state surveys, with a continuously recording remote-reference station operated in South Australia; acquisition within South Australia was funded by the Geological Survey of South Australia through its PACE Copper program. Acquisition used LEMI-423 systems hosted by the University of Adelaide through the AuScope ANSIR Research Facility for Earth Sounding, supported under the Australian Government's NCRIS. This package carries the 49 released EDI transfer function files.
