About this survey

Broadband magnetotelluric soundings on a nominal 5 km grid around Kalgoorlie, Western Australia, recorded by Moombarriga Geoscience for The University of Western Australia between 25 July and 13 November 2020 to map deep conductivity and its links to mineralisation. All 125 soundings in the release are served: 83 recorded on Phoenix MTU-5A, 25 on Phoenix MTU-5C and 17 on Metronix ADU-07e systems, on 80 m dipoles, most processed against a remote reference. Periods run 0.00009 s to 11,628 s, 96 to 175 a station, each with a tipper. Sensors were laid to magnetic north and nothing is rotated.
