About this survey

An east-west broadband magnetotelluric transect across western Victoria, acquired by Adelaide

University with the Geological Survey of Victoria between 10 and 21 June 2014. Forty-three

soundings: 35 line sites running 119 km from DLT01 in the east to DLT36 in the west at a median

spacing of 3.4 km, and 8 infill occupations 1.1 to 2.6 km off their line site on the western

third. Each site recorded two electric and two magnetic components at 1000 Hz on an Earth Data

PR6-24 with LEMI-120 induction coils, with a remote magnetic pair; dipoles are 40 to 50 m along

x and 44 to 50 m along y. The files carry the impedance tensor with variances and the derived

apparent resistivity and phase, and no tipper, over 22 to 56 periods from 0.0064 to 2183 s.

Every file declares a uniform 305 degree rotation and is served in that declared frame.
