Magnetotelluric transfer functions were accessed through AusMT, Australia's Magnetotelluric Data Portal (https://ausmt.auscope.org.au), enabled by AuScope and the Australian Government via the National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS).
Thirty magnetotelluric soundings at fifteen sites on a west to east line of 114 km across the Southern Flinders Ranges of South Australia, towards the Curnamona Province, recorded by Adelaide University between 22 September and 3 October 2009 at a mean site spacing of 8.
About this survey
Thirty magnetotelluric soundings at fifteen sites on a west to east line of 114 km across the Southern Flinders Ranges of South Australia, towards the Curnamona Province, recorded by Adelaide University between 22 September and 3 October 2009 at a mean site spacing of 8.6 km. Each site was occupied twice with the same Earth Data PR6-24 recorder: a broadband run sampled at 500 Hz with a pair of LEMI-120 induction coils, then a long period run sampled at 10 Hz with a three component fluxgate. The fifteen broadband soundings carry impedance alone at 30 periods from 0.016 s to 524 s. The fifteen long period soundings carry impedance and tipper at 14 to 20 periods from 10.7 s to 8192 s.
