Magnetotelluric transfer functions were accessed through AusMT, Australia's Magnetotelluric Data Portal (https://ausmt.auscope.org.au), enabled by AuScope and the Australian Government via the National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS).

A broadband magnetotelluric survey was conducted across the Curnamona Province in August 2017 under the Curnamona Conductor project, spanning South Australia and western New South Wales.

About this survey

A broadband magnetotelluric survey was conducted across the Curnamona Province in August 2017 under the Curnamona Conductor project, spanning South Australia and western New South Wales. An initial deployment in early August comprised 47 sites and a continuously recording remote- reference station in South Australia, arranged principally along a regional east-west profile at approximately 2 km spacing targeting the prominent crustal conductivity anomaly of the province; a follow-up deployment in late August added 10 sites in western New South Wales. Acquisition in South Australia was funded by the Geological Survey of South Australia and in New South Wales supported by the ASEG Research Foundation, using LEMI-423 systems hosted by the University of Adelaide through the AuScope ANSIR Research Facility for Earth Sounding, supported under the Australian Government's NCRIS, with logistical support from Havilah Resources and helicopter access to remote South Australian sites provided by Helifarm. This package carries the 56 released EDI transfer function files.
