Twenty broadband magnetotelluric soundings on a 26 km east-west profile at Byro, on the north-western edge of the Yilgarn Craton, Western Australia, recorded by Moombarriga Geoscience for Athena Resources from 23 to 30 March 2009.
About this survey
Twenty broadband magnetotelluric soundings on a 26 km east-west profile at Byro, on the north-western edge of the Yilgarn Craton, Western Australia, recorded by Moombarriga Geoscience for Athena Resources from 23 to 30 March 2009. Sites are 0.9 to 2.2 km apart, and the contractor's report places the four westernmost in the Byro sub-basin. Each site recorded two electric and two horizontal magnetic channels on Phoenix MTU-5A receivers with MTC-50 coils for 7 to 25 hours, most against a remote site on the profile; three also carry a vertical coil and only they publish a tipper. Eighteen files are Phoenix spectra exports and two are WinGLink impedance exports, one declaring its impedance at -30 degrees. Periods run 0.0031 s to 2941 s at 17 stations and to 1449 s at three. Nothing is rotated and no static shift is applied.
