About this survey

A broadband magnetotelluric line over Bollards Lagoon in the southern Cooper Basin of South

Australia. Thirteen remote-referenced tensor soundings were

acquired along a single 23.9 km north to south line at a mean 2.0 km spacing between 18 January

and 18 February 2008 by Quantec Geoscience Pty Ltd for Eden Energy Ltd, as the GEL 169 grid of

its Cooper MT project AU00039L. The target was basement depth and any conductive zone at 3 to

5 km that might host a geothermal reservoir under Cooper and Eromanga Basin cover. Each site recorded five channels on a Quantec RT-130 logger with 100 m dipoles in

an L array and three induction coils, against a simultaneous remote reference. AusMT serves all

thirteen files byte-identical to the delivery, carrying impedance and tipper with variances on

42 to 44 periods from 4.2 ms to 1311 s. Two declare a frame their own sensor azimuths

contradict; README.md states what that affects.
