About this survey

Long-period magnetotelluric transfer functions from the AusLAMP acquisition across New South Wales, run jointly by Geoscience Australia and the Geological Survey of New South Wales between 2016 and 2021. The survey occupied 321 sites on the AusLAMP half geodetic-degree grid at approximately 55 km spacing, each recording for around six weeks on Geoscience Australia's LEMI-424 systems at 1 sample per second with LEMI-039 fluxgate magnetometers, and transfer functions were derived using Lemigraph robust remote-reference processing. Geoscience Australia released the results in two phases under Record 2020/011: 224 sites in phase one, covering acquisition from July 2016 to June 2020, and a further 73 transfer functions in phase two, one of which re-releases phase-one site H20. This package carries the 296 released EDI transfer function files, 289 of them with tipper data; the companion time series, logger ASCII and MTH5 for each site, is archived by Geoscience Australia and available on request under eCat 148544.
