About this survey

119 broadband magnetotelluric soundings on four profiles and a group of sites around the Paulsens gold mine in the Ashburton Basin, Western Australia, acquired by Moombarriga Geoscience for Black Cat (Paulsens) Pty Ltd to map the basin's architecture to about 4 km depth. Recordings started between 5 September and 10 October 2025. Each site recorded Ex, Ey, Hx, Hy and Hz on a Phoenix MTU-5C for 5.8 to 24.7 hours, on dipoles of about 50 m, processed in EMpower against a remote site and exported from Geotools. Periods run 0.0001 s to 2913 s, 87 to 100 per station, and every station carries a tipper. The frame is magnetic north and no declination is applied. The report and the registry count 138 soundings; the release holds one EDI file for each of these 119. Where a header printed no acquisition date, the served copy carries the recording's own start date.
