About this survey
Twenty-nine long-period magnetotelluric soundings on a 236 km transect across the Amadeus Basin, Northern Territory, running north from the Musgrave Province margin into the southern Arunta. Selway's 2006 thesis names the line the Amadeus transect and records the fieldwork as July 2005, about three days a station. Nearest neighbour spacing is 4.0 km at the closest, 6.4 km at the median and 18.1 km at the widest, and the northern end stops 8.6 km short of the Redbank Thrust Zone profile, with which the line forms one continuous traverse. Every site recorded Ex, Ey, Hx, Hy and Hz, and every file carries a full impedance tensor, apparent resistivity and phase with errors, and a tipper. Transfer functions span 8 s to 5,461 s on a twenty-eight point ladder, 10 to 18 periods a site. The served files are a 2026 Geotools export of RRRMT estimates with jackknife errors; the export states no acquirer and no elevation.
