  "note": "Tipper transfer functions regenerated from the compilation register\nGDS/GADataBase/AllStationData.lst, joined on STATION_ID to\nGDS/GADataBase/AllStationName.lst.  The register is Liejun Wang's Australian\nElectromagnetic Database as supplied to the NCI compilation.\n\nSUPERSEDES a September 2002 FORTRAN conversion (gadata_new.f) of these same\nregister rows.  That conversion truncated coordinates to two decimals, read\nwhole-degree coordinates under an implied-decimal format, discarded the\nregister's uncertainty columns and wrote a constant tipper variance of 0.01,\nwrote hard-coded placeholder impedances and Ex/Ey/Rx/Ry channels for a\nmagnetometer-only instrument, copied one template header into every file so\nthat all of them claimed the same acquirer, date, prospect and location,\nnever read the register's REFERENCE_CODE field at all, named its output on\nthe three-letter code so colliding codes overwrote one another, and declared\nORDER=DEC unconditionally.  The response VALUES it wrote were correct and\nare unchanged here to print precision; everything around them was not.\n\nCONVENTION: the register stores induction arrows in sign-reversed polar\nParkinson form, R_ANGLE = atan2(-Ty,-Tx) measured clockwise from north and\nR_RADIUS = hypot(Tx,Ty), so\nTXR = -R_RADIUS.cos(R_ANGLE)    TYR = -R_RADIUS.sin(R_ANGLE)\nTXI = -Q_RADIUS.cos(Q_ANGLE)    TYI = -Q_RADIUS.sin(Q_ANGLE).\n\nCOORDINATES are the register's PRINTED values, at their full precision, and\nevery one has been checked to fall inside the Australian region.\n\nFREQUENCIES are 1/(period in seconds), the register's PERIOD column being in\nminutes for every one of its arrays.  Rows are sorted to strictly descending\nfrequency and the ORDER declaration is verified against the emitted values.\n\nIMPEDANCE is not written and no electric or remote-reference channel is\ndeclared.  This is a vertical-field (GDS) measurement: the instrument\nrecorded Hx, Hy and Hz alone.\n\nVARIANCES: the register prints NO uncertainty columns for this station's\nrows, so TXVAR.EXP and TYVAR.EXP are OMITTED rather than fabricated.  The\n2002 conversion wrote a constant 0.01 here; that value was invented and\ncarries no information.\n\nAttribution: White and Milligan (1984) Nature 310, 219-222; Milligan (1989)\nFlinders PhD; Milligan, White and Chamalaun (1989) Expl. Geophys. 20,\n187-190.  Register ids 101-136 are the thesis database ids exactly.\n\nFieldwork ran from a coastal pilot line in 1980 and 1981, through the main\nexperiment of July 1982 to January 1983, to a final line occupied from\nNovember 1983 to January 1984.  Milligan (1989) prints per-station recording\nwindows, but the thesis-to-register cross-reference on disk resolves by\nproximity and mis-assigns at least one station, so no per-station day is\nasserted here and ACQDATE is absent.\n\nIDENTITY: register STATION_ID 115, FULL_NAME Oladdie, SHO OLE,\nREFERENCE_CODE 4, register E_LONG 135.53, S_LAT -34.28, MAG_DEC 6.837.  This\nfile is published as station au.southern-eyre-1980-84.Oladdie. Identity is\nthe STATION_ID plus the coordinate, never the three-letter SHO code: SHO\ncodes collide across the compilation, and naming the 2002 conversion's\noutput files on the code lost 35 stations to overwrite. Dates in this file\nare ISO 8601."
